Parents Visiting the School

Parents are welcome to visit our school, as your interest in your child’s education is vital to their development.

Our aim is to provide a pleasant, stimulating, environment where your child can enjoy many learning experiences.

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school we should be extremely grateful if you would adhere to the following:

(i) An appointment should be made with the headteacher for all consultations relating to your child’s progress. In addition to this, regular consultation evenings will be held at the school.

(ii) An afternoon in the Summer Term will be arranged for parents and children who are starting this school in September to visit and discuss admission arrangements and school policy with the Headteacher and Reception Class Teacher.

(iii) Parents bringing reception children to school are welcomed into the teaching area. It is hoped that parents will, as the year progresses, encourage more and more independence in their children, in allowing them to come into the teaching area from the yard unaccompanied.

(iv) Parents are also welcome at the school when Classes take our Morning Assembly. This is usually on a Friday morning. An Annual Sports Day is held in June/July and your support is encouraged on this most enjoyable of occasions.

(v) Parents also organize the School library on a weekly basis for Infants and Juniors.

(vi) Parental assistance is also required on School educational visits.

(vii) The School has recently developed a Parental Partnership Policy and parents are encouraged to assist in many other aspects of school life.
