General
The health and welfare of the pupils in our care is of paramount importance. Every effort is made to ensure the children are cared for at all times.
Illness at School
Any pupil who is feeling unwell at school should inform their class teacher. Parents will be contacted in the event of an accident or illness at school and therefore it is essential to provide the school with an emergency telephone number.
Absence from School
All absences should be reported to the school by means of a letter or telephone call. It should be noted that holidays taken in term time have a detrimental effect on pupil progress.
Any absence which is not reported is recorded as unauthorised.
School Medical Examination
At various times in their school life pupils have health checks, such as vision, hearing, etc. All parents are informed of the outcomes.
